Works on panel

Besides prints and drawings Olivier Julia also works on panels. The character of these geometric-abstract compositions is partly defined by the solidity of the panel. Julia creates his compositions in line, form and colour on square or rectangular panels. Sometimes they may result in a diptych or triptych. The panels are certainly among the most colourful works in the oeuvre. Tonality and the use of saturated colours are distinctive features. The size of the panels is usually modest though larger formats exist.
