Drawings

Drawing is Olivier Julia’s most direct technique. It enables the artist to make use of his refined working method to create compositions with a harmonious balance between lines and tonal nuances. This refinement is evident in both small-sized drawings and the larger formats. An endless gamut of whites, blacks and greys defines these works and crepuscular traces of a coloured pencil are sometimes visible.
